MN350 is working to bring together organizational and community leaders from the mosaic of the Minnesota climate movement for a series of climate movement conversations. Many organizations, communities and individuals are addressing climate change and the impacts in a variety of direct and indirect ways. In order to catalyze an effective local climate movement, MN350 is creating a space for conversation that will increase awareness of work being done, who else needs to be at the table and to recognize the historical tensions, issues of structural inequality and the connections between climate change and other ills. The central question for this initial series of conversations is: How do we build a climate movement that truly represents the full picture of what this movement needs to be in addressing the climate crisis? Funds from this challenge will be used to reach more organizations and communities and to make the conversations accessible to those with financial barriers.
The conversations will begin in Minneapolis, MN with organizational and community leaders doing work in the entire state.
This project will begin in July 2012 and go through January 2013.
Catalyzing a movement requires deep relationships and an understanding of local actions and impacts.
Is your project a new idea, or was it initiated after November 2011?: A new idea!
