The Idea

An ad contest for high school earth science students to draw community attention to the urgency of acting now to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in two MN cities with large number of climte change deniers.

Two cities in western Hennepin County, MN - Mound & Orono. The high school earth science classes in these communities, Westonka and Orono.

Jan-Feb 2013 presentations to HS earth science classes; 31 March ad submission deadline; April - ads voted on; May winning ads in local newspapers & each winning class receives $500 for class climate action.

Youth enthusiasm (as shown in video) can change hearts & minds.
