Monthly News Worthy Beach Parties – Centered around ending Fossil Fuel Subsidies on the very beaches that were covered in oil from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010. 2.August to December 2012 6 Month Symposium of the Screening the 5 minute video entitled “Connecting the Dots” provided by 350.org. followed by open discussion (These events will be recorded). These events will be held in public libraries, schools, colleges, and business conference rooms in the local Gulf Coast Community. Event recordings will be posted on the internet and social media sites and will be emailed to an audience of interested residents. 3. Recording of a short film entitled “Mississippi Mud™” – Documentary style short film about local residents, personal stories of hurricane Katrina and the BP Oil Spill victims and their feelings about fossil fuel subsidies, extreme weather, and climate change.
